Activ8 is a lively group of about twenty children, aged 8 to 11 years, who meet on Thursday evenings between 6:30pm and 8:00pm. Activ8 was brought about by the enormous success of the holiday club which identified a need in the community for a group for young people of this age.
A normal week may include:
- Challenging games that exercise the mind
- Active games of non contact nature
- Table top games such as air hockey, table tennis etc.
- Craft activities
- Film nights
With a team of five leaders, this is now a well established group giving an introduction to the ethos of the church. We try to let the children discover for themselves that they are precious to God, that God knows everything about the world today, all about them and the reality of youth culture.
There is currently a waiting list for young people to join, so if you are interested in a place, please contact Debbie Pickering to register your name.

Newport Credit Union now has a collection point at the Church each Tuesday from 10.30 to 12.30.
